Heritage & Culture come alive at the 5th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration on December 29, 2007 at the Days Inn at 925 Broad Street, New Bern, NC. This year we will offer an African Dance Workshop at 4:00 p.m., Crafts for children and adults at 5:00 p.m., and the formal Kwanzaa program at 6:00 p.m. Come and celebrate Kwanzaa through songs, crafts, costumes and more. Discover the principles of Kwanzaa and how they apply to our everyday lives. This program is sponsored in part by a grassroots grant from the Craven Arts Council and Gallery.
