Fall is an ideal time for planting shrubs and trees. Once our first frost arrives, plants go dormant. Soil that stays warm enough throughout the winter allows plants to continue root growth. Come spring these plants have established root systems that can sustain them through our hot, dry, harsh summer climate. Plan now for a lush spring landscape and join the Coastal Federation for our Fall Native Plant Sale.
