Two time Tony nominee and Resident Guest Choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett brings her amazing storytelling skills to Hans Christian Andersen's enduring fairy tale with a thrilling blend of dance, theatre and music that combines the charm of her family favorite The Ugly Duckling with the arresting staging and visuals of her crowd-pleasing Dracula. She again teams with composer Michael Moricz who has created an original score that captures the splendor of the sea king's court, the machinations of the evil sea witch, and the tenderness of young love in a show that speaks with both simplicity and sophistication to both children and adults.
Also included on this program are four pas de deux playing in rotation. The matinee performances will feature two pas de deux, an intermission, and then The Little Mermaid. The March 24, 11 am performance will only feature The Little Mermaid.
