Exploring Unique Texture Patterns

Explore textured patterning beyond cables and basic knit/purl combinations. Discover how to wrap, elongate and cluster stitches to create beautiful textured fabrics. Students will work a sampler scarf using several types of unique textural stitches.
Materials the students should bring: 100 gms (about 200 yds) of smooth worsted weight yarn, this will be the Main Color (MC) 50 gms (about 100 yds) of the same yarn in a contrasting color (CC) Appropriate size needles for the yarn--check ball band. Tapestry needle, dpn (smaller size than needles) or straight cable needle (not U shaped), pen or pencil, scissors and basic knitting accessories.
