Explore the lives and accomplishments of African American North Carolinians from the antebellum period to the Civil Rights era.In the exhibit Behind the Veneer: Thomas Day, Master Cabinetmaker,learn about this free man of color who owned and operated one of North Carolina’s largest cabinet shops prior to the Civil War.Approximately 70pieces of furniture crafted by this accomplished artisan and entrepreneur from Milton,Caswell County. This program will be held February 4,11,18,25 from 1:30–2:30pm
