As the nonprofit affiliate of the Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews (516 North 4th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401), 1888 Skate Club provides a safe, secure, and supervised indoor skate park for school-age children and their families. We believe it will be a great place to grind year-round, but we also think that the club will bring together and bond the Port City community of skaters, the greater Wilmington community, and the Southeast.
We plan to keep the focus on positive, responsible behavior and will offer scholarships for club membership, skate gear, and academic tutoring, because success in school and skating go hand in hand. Our family-first skate club will feature sessions, lessons, and camps for members and larger, open-to-the-public, regional events like Battle of the Shops and Skatefest.
