Joann Carter Harrelson Center

The Jo Ann Carter Harrelson Center is a nonprofit center that provides a synergistic environment for human service organizations to provide life changing services. The center works with its partners to meet the needs of the community such as affordable housing, education, employment, health care and family support. The Harrelson Center recognizes people’s urgent needs in life and encourages, uplifts and helps rebuild their lives through the many services that are provided at the center. The 10 nonprofit organizations at the center are Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry, Communities in Schools, Wilmington Area Leadership Foundation, Phoenix Employment Ministry, Philippians 3 Ministry, Cape Fear Land Trust, Cape Fear Resource Conservation and Development, Christian Women’s Job Corp, and Drug Court.
